Welcome to the website for Bean Youth and Community Centre.
The community centre is an important venue for village events, it was opened in 1963 by the people of the village for the continued use of the village. In recent years there has been extensive modernisation with refurbished toilets and disabled access in 2004, hall flooring in 2005, a new kitchen in 2007 and in 2009 we were able to replace the windows with a grant from the Grassroots Fund.
The community centre is the venue for most village activities from the Young at Heart Club to Jumping Beans Pre-School; from Brownies and Scouts on a weekday evening to St Nicholas at Bean Church on Sunday. The hall is available for hire to both villagers and non villagers please see the Hire Charges link for costs and details of how to make a booking.
