Welcome to the Village Hall
In 1944 the Village Hall was established as a charity, purchased through the community. The present building was constructed in 1999 after several years of fund raising in the village.

The building currently houses a large hall and a small stage with a capacity for up to 160 people. It has a small kitchen and a number of storage rooms.

The building is well used with an indoor Bowls club, a Preschool and playgroup and a Youth Club. A senior citizen's coffee morning and a local ladies group meet there once a month. The Parish Council uses the hall for its meetings.

Every year the Village Hall hosts a 10k run which is one of the early events in the Black Sheep series of road runs. This event is increasingly popular and attracts over 300 runners.

2007 saw the start of an annual fun day. This is held in June and provides a day and evening of activities and music for families in the village.

In addition the hall is used for private parties, concerts and a Christmas Ball. Adjacent to the hall is an attractive open space with children's play area which is run by the Parish Council.
