Facilities Snainton Village Hall was extended and refurbished in 2000. Facilities consist of a main hall and a smaller committee room with a kitchen adjoining both rooms. Disabled access and toilets are provided. There is a sports pavilion which is used by local cricket and football teams. The pitches are on the large playing field which is part of the hall complex. There is also a new children's playground in part of the playing field. This playground recently won the Playground of the Year competition run by the North Yorkshire Playing Field Association for villages with populations between 500 and 2000.
